Welcome to team 7-2! I am Mrs. Bender, your mathematics teacher.
Please visit the links to the right to learn the rules, procedures, and grading policy of my classroom. I hold high expectations for children and am confident that all children can live up to these expectations. Therefore I need to strictly enforce these policies and procedures so as to maximize learning time and opportunities.
The following materials have been helpful for past seventh grade students to maintain an organizational system. If you need assistance in getting any of these materials, simply send a note or e-mail and I will make every effort to make sure he or she has what is needed:
2" binder
5 dividers or sections
1 composition notebook (marble notebook)
Three ring loose-leaf binder paper
Pencils
Handheld pencil sharpener (that holds the shavings)
A couple colored pens or pencils (for correcting)
Highlighters (a few colors)
A box of tissues for the classroom
Scientific calculator (to be kept at home for homework)
Your child can label the 5 sections in his/her binder (in this order):

Scientific calculators are provided for student use in school. However your child may find it helpful to have one at home also. Pre-algebra and algebra students will definitely need a scientific calculator for their homework as the year progresses. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
